With sadness, we share the passing of John L. McDonough Jr. of Glastonbury, Connecticut. John, born on August 27, 1931, passed away on July 7, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Family, friends, and acquaintances remember John for his warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. While he will be deeply missed, the influence he had on the lives around him remains. Loved ones will reflect on the time spent together. John’s memory will live on in the hearts of friends and family, a lasting reminder of the connections and experiences he brought to the world.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John McDonough and Rae McDonough; and his sister Nancy. He is survived by: his wife Aileen; his children, Kathleen (late John Hickey) of Jamaica Plain, MA and Kevin of South Glastonbury; his brother Larry (Dolores Koslosky) of Murraysville, PA; his nephew Joseph McDonough (Denise Lecher) of Upper St; his great-nephew Luke; and his great-niece Grace.
