Martin K. Shea Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Martin K. Shea of Glastonbury, Connecticut, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 21, 2025 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John "Jack" Shea, Jr. and Grayce Shea; and his siblings, Christine "Chrissy" Riordan and Kevin Shea. He is survived by: his sons, Matthew "Matt" Shea (Kelsea), Colin Shea and Marty; his friend Peter Harris; his brother Daniel "Dan" Shea (Doris); his wife Lynn Shea; and his nieces, Isabella "Izzy" Shea and Michelle Spencer. He is also survived by many siblings-in-law and their children; and innumerable dear friends.
At Goodwin he was a tireless advocate for students and families, passionately supporting the university food pantry, helping create an emergency relief fund to assist students with critical needs during the pandemic, and co-chairing the annual golf tournament which raised over a million dollars for student scholarships.
In lieu of flowers, Marty's family requests that donations be made to OAKC (checks may be made payable to Manchester Country Club with "OAKC" in the memo line) or Goodwin University (http://www.goodwin.edu.).
