He is survived by: his wife Mary Short (Trombley); his children, Michael Short (Jill) of Prospect, CT, Gary Short (Valerie) of Liberty, ME, Matthew "Tom" Short (Karen) of Granby, CT and Joanne Strange (Rich Jensen) of Southington, CT; his daughter-in-law Linda Short of Montville, ME.; his siblings, Donald Short and Diane McLure; his grandchildren, Madeline (Wes), Eliza, Jacob (Lisa), Chelsea, Dale (April), Heather (Trevor), Adam (Sarah), Brianna, Andrew, Katrina, Caroline (Justin), James (Avery) and Jodie; and his great grandchildren, Cameron, Malcolm, Mira, Esme, Ella, Violet, Piper, Lucas, Elena, Ryder, Keira, Kayden and Madeline. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
