He was predeceased by : his parents, Frank Hughes and Mary Hughes; his wife Nora; and his siblings, Frank Hughes, Catherine Cleary, Veronica Murphy and William Hughes.
He is survived by : his children, Barbara Gilleski (Joe), Mary Firimonte (John) and John Hughes Jr. (Dawn); his grandchildren, Christopher, Sarah, John, Dan, Kaitlyn, Andrew and Matthew; and his great grandchildren, Steven and Lily.
