With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Washington Stewart Borie (Greenwich, Connecticut), born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 27, 2025 at the age of 94. She was predeceased by: her husband David Boyd Borie; and her sister Dorothy Browning Stewart Lewis of Cincinnati, OH.. She is survived by: her children, Mary W. Borie Zara, David B. Borie Jr. (Jan), J. Stewart Borie (Greta) and Lyssa Borie Righi (David). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mary's memory to Nantucket Conservation or Greenwich Land Trust.
