He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph M. McDermid and Alice McDermid. He is survived by: his siblings, Jane and Michael; his former wife Helen Grace McDermid; his brother John F. McDermid; his children, Ralph, Alice, Mark and Helen Frances (Fran); Chippy. He is also survived by his five grandchildren.
