He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Hynes (Farrell) and Patrick J. Hynes Jr.; his wife Marlaine; and his brother Patrick Hynes III. He is survived by: his children, Carole (Michael Colabella), Joseph of New Canaan, Suzanne (Michael O'Neill) of Towson, MD and Thomas Jr. (Christine) of Lakewood Ranch, FL; his close friend Minnie Manuli; and his siblings, John Hynes and Marlene Ryan. He is also survived by grandchildren.
