As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though William may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, May McAndrews and Francis McAndrews. He is survived by: his wife Sandy; his brother Jim (Becky); his son Jim Gartner (Jennifer); and his grandchildren, Spencer and Lillianne Gartner. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 9th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Castiglione Funeral Home (544 Old Post Rd 3, Greenwich, CT 06830). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, March 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Saint Michael the Archangel Church (469 North Street, Greenwich, CT 06830).
