It is with sadness that the passing of Frederik DeGrooth Sr. of Groton, Connecticut is shared. Frederik, born on August 3, 1934, passed away on May 25, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Klaas Wolter and Jacoba Frederika; and his sisters, Martha Kuehl and Wilhelmina. He is survived by: his wife Jean Montgomery; his children, Frederik and Grace Elizabeth DeGrooth; his son-in-law Joseph Trausch; his granddaughters, Alexandra Trausch (Ryan Erlandson), Meghan Trausch, Brittany and Julia; and his caregivers, Nancy, Marquerite, Julie, Lenore, Tanya, Christina, Eric, Wiseland, Theresa, Veronica, Natalie and Vincent.
