He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James John Ferrie and Veronica Hannah Hopkins Ferrie; his wife Ilda E. Carvalho of Wethersfield; his sister Judith F. Donat (Gerald C. Donat) of Preston; and his children, Christine Ferrie Jablonski (Jeffrey Jablonski) of Kearny and James Anthony Ferrie (Jennifer Ferrie) of Mesa, Arizona..
An eternal pragmatist, in lieu of flowers, Jim requested that a donation be made in his memory to Sacred Heart School, 56 Sacred Heart Drive, Groton CT 06340 and/or the Knights of Columbus of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
