He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph J. Apicelli and Olga Apicelli Fredsbo (Longo). He is survived by: his sister Rita Apicelli of Groton; his sibling's children, Shannon Windisch Pociu (David) of Cheshire, CT and Michael Windisch (Lacy Simkowitz) of San Francisco, CA; his great-niece Anna Pociu; and his pet Leo.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Joe's honor may be made to the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association.
