It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Julio Gonzalez Benitez of Groton, Connecticut, who passed away on December 8, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Julio Gonzalez; his wife Carol of Camuy; and his siblings, Hector Gonzalez Benitez and Sonia Gonzalez Benitez. He is survived by: his mother Francisca Gonzalez (Benitez Alvarado); and his nieces and nephews, Jorge Alcoba (Danielle), Marc Gonzalez, Michelle Cruz (Roberto), Myree Allen (Larry), Melody DaSilva (Jack) and Soan Calderon (Eddie Hernandez).
