Norma L. Torkelsen Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 16, 2024, at the age of 99, Norma L. Torkelsen of Groton, Connecticut passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her husband Stanley; her siblings, Sonja Fredricksen and Olaf Skaar; and her great grandchild Erik Brewer. She is survived by : her children, Kristine Lyman (Bill) of Stonington, Conn., Barbara Puritz (Ben) of Westerly, R. I. and Steven Torkelsen (Liz) of Wilton, Conn.; her grandchildren, James Campbell of Oakland, Calif, Alexandra Vogt of Westerly, Lindsay Brewer of Pawcatuck, Conn., David Puritz of Iron Mountain, Mich, Jessica Puritz Torkelsen of Madrid, Emily Torkelsen of Wellesley, Mass. and Kristina Torkelsen of Wilton; and her great grandchildren, Delilah Vogt of Westerly, Devin Brewer of Pawcatuck, Soledad Gaillardo Puritz of Madrid and Santos Gaillardo Puritz of Madrid.

Donations in her memory may be made to the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center or the Eliza Huntington Memorial Home.
