He was predeceased by : his parents, Vincenzo Mazzella and Rose Romano Mazzella; and his siblings, Joseph, Silverio, Anthony Mazzella, Rita Ceravola, Marie Moyer and Lucy Acampora.
He is survived by : his wife Jean Simmons.
Visiting hours will be on Monday from 3 until 5 o'clock at the Byles-Groton Memorial Home, 310 Thames St. In remembrance of Philip Mazzella's life, the family asks that charitable donations be made to the Melanoma and Brain Metastasis Research Fund at Yale Cancer Center.
