He is survived by: his wife Laurie; his children, Kip Guffey of Groton, Nikki Salaun (Jeremy) of Ashaway and Kristi Dervos (Harilaos) of Groton; his nieces, Jennifer Conyers (Lorenzo) of Groton, Barbara Cook (Russ) of Sandusky, Ohio and Susan Wilcox (Richard) of Vermont; his sister Sammy Hesselgesser of Sheridan; his nephews, Randy and Tommy; his niece Tammy; his sister-in-law Robin Sirl (Tim) of Tiro, Ohio; his grandchildren, Camryn Cortina and Jonathan Salaun; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Alannah Bunkley, Anna Lieske and Dustin Leck.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Byles-Groton Memorial (310 Thames St, Groton, CT 06340).
