He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Bouton Morris and Robert Tower Findlay; his wife Marie L. Findlay; and his son Erik J. Findlay of New Haven. He is survived by: his sister Jean Findlay Ostlund of Mount Vernon; his children, David S. Findlay (Donna) of Troy and Sharon Jonynas (Arunas) of Chester; his daughter-in-law Nancy Ovedovitz (Erik) of Hamden; and his grandchildren, David J. Findlay (Veronica), Michael Findlay (Michaela), Samuel Jonynas (Adrienne), Adrian Jonynas (Rebecca), Anna Lewis (Tobias), Emily Jonynas, Susan Findlay, Arielle Findlay, Dillon Findlay and Elizabeth Findlay. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
