It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen D. Pongetti of Guilford, Connecticut, born in Cranston, Rhode Island, who passed away on December 17, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Abbenante and Madeline Abbenante of Homestead, FL.; her husband Louis Pongetti; her siblings, Madeline M. Mottram of Tampa, FL, Charles Abbenante, Raymond Abbenante of Margeno, IL and Leon Abbenante (Shorty) of Archer, FL; her grandson Michael Gallipoli; and her son-in-law Scott Gallipoli.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Pongetti (Dawn LaChance) of North Branford, Louis Pongetti (Laura) of Guilford and Vanessa Gallipoli of East Haven; her daughter-in-law Laura Ann Pongetti of Guilford; and her grandsons, Scott Gallipoli, Jeremy and Matt Pongetti. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren, one great-great grandson, and one great-great grandson.
In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
