With sadness, we share the passing of Irene N. (Uhl) Ayres of Guilford, Connecticut. Irene, born on March 9, 1931, passed away on September 29, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Irene for her warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. She was predeceased by: her husband Edward B. Ayres; and her parents, Edwin G. Uhl and Mary Uhl (Goodes). She is survived by: her children, Anne Ayres of Branford, Elizabeth Bounds (Jim) of San Marcos, TX and Edward B. Ayres, Jr. (Todd) of Branford; and her grandchildren, William Ayres, John Mosychuk, Justine Ayres and James Mosychuk. She is also survived by six great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the St John's Episcopal Church (129 Ledge Hill Rd, Guilford, CT 06437).
