John touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his brother Bernard "Jerry" Kelley; and his parents, John Moriarty and Elizabeth Keohane Kelley Moriarty. He is survived by: his daughter Jaclyn Moriarty of Colchester; his stepdaughter Elizabeth Coon (Neil) of Guilford; his siblings, Robert Moriarty of Clinton, Neil Moriarty of East Haven and Kathleen Klein of Georgia; and his grandson Eli Coon of Guilford.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home (244 N Main St, Branford, CT 06405). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 2nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Bernadette Church (385 Townsend Ave, New Haven, CT 06512).
