He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary Luders Norris; his children, Soren, Evan (Beth Frazier) and Lizzie Norris Zoeller (Kenny); his grandchildren, Nikoy, Nikena, River, Sammie and Benjy; and his siblings, David (Kim) and Sally (David).

Until Covid he enjoyed playing bluegrass with the Guilford Ramblers.
