Lois V. Phelan Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 8, 2025, at the age of 94, Lois V. Phelan of Guilford, Connecticut passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Voets and Blanche Voets (Medley); and her siblings, Kathryn Voets Currie, Joseph Voets and Richard Voets.
She is survived by: her husband Harold R. Phelan, Jr.; her daughter Lisa Schwoerke; her grandchildren, Keiran P Schwoerke of San Diego and Hunter P Schwoerke (Rebecca) of Bristol, CT.; her great grandchild Sawyer; and her sister Cynthia Voets Rovasio.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 8:45 AM to 9:45 AM at the Guilford Funeral Home (115 Church St, Guilford, CT 06437). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. George Church (33 Whitfield St, Guilford, CT 06437). She learned how to 'Zoom' during Covid!
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Guiding Eyes for the Blind.
