He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Pongetti and Mary Pongetti (Grestini); his sister Evelyn Antonino; his son-in-law Scott Gallipoli; and his grandson Michael Gallipoli.

He is survived by: his wife Helen Pongetti (Abbenante); his children, Michael Pongetti (Dawn LaChance) of North Branford, Louis Pongetti (Laura) of Guilford and Vanessa Gallipoli of East Haven; his sister Mary Lou Benedict; and his grandsons, Jeremy Pongetti, Matthew Pongetti and Scott Gallipoli. He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.

Family and friends may visit Keenan Funeral Home, 330 Notch Hill Road, North Branford on Thursday, November 5, 2020 from 9:00 a. m. to 10:30 a. m. In light of the current pandemic, face coverings and social distancing are required.
