It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Dearington (Guilford, Connecticut), who passed away on July 18, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may Michael find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may his legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
He was predeceased by: his parent Searls Dearington of State's Attorney. He is survived by: his wife Gerry; his children, Meredeth Whittier (Mike), Bob Dearington (Allison) and Mike Dearington (Rachel); and his brother Sy Dearington. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Guilford Funeral Home (115 Church St, Guilford, CT 06437). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the First Congregational Church (122 Broad St, Guilford, CT 06437).
