He was predeceased by: his father Owen "Gene" McGloin; his nephew David Scott Black; and his in-laws, Dorothy and Fred Szatmary. He is survived by: his wife Ann Szatmary McGloin; his children, Meredith Batchelor McGloin and Evan Szatmary McGloin; his son-in-law Brian L. Zackowitz (Meredith); his mother Marie Donovan McGloin; his siblings, Carol (David Black), Eugene (Lois McGloin), Stephen (Lillian McGloin), Kenneth (Barbara McGloin), Doreen McGloin and Patricia (Michael Brodersen); his extended family, Lynn (Szatmary) and Michael Cote; and his godchildren, Christina Black, Lauren Morales (McGloin), Matthew Cote and Deanna Cote. He is also survived by 15 nieces and nephews, and 17 great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Guilford Funeral Home (115 Church St, Guilford, CT 06437). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Zion Episcopal Church (326 Notch Hill Rd, North Branford, CT 06471).
