He is survived by: his wife Joan Barny; his daughter Elizabeth Maria O'Keefe (Michael); his grandchildren, John William, Brigid Clare and Meghan Elizabeth; his son William Arthur Elder (Joan); and his grandchildren, Jeb, Sam and Tim.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 9th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Guilford Funeral Home and Cremation Services (115 Church St, Guilford, CT 06437). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, March 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. George Church (33 Whitfield St, Guilford, CT 06437).
