Bowen Sr. (Hamden, Connecticut), born in New Haven, Connecticut, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 6, 2025 at the age of 78. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Bowen and Alice Freeman Bowen; his great-aunt Hazel Bowen; and his brothers, Robert and Gaylord Bowen.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara L. Bowen; his children, Allan, Jr. of Hamden, CT, Tonja Bowen of West Haven, CT and LaChelle Bowen of New Haven, CT; his sisters, Augustina Howard of Florida and Deborah Hernandez of Hamden; his grandchildren, Domonique (Kemp), Dajon (Briyana) and KeJuan Bowen; and his godsons, Steven Lassiter and Jamal Bines of West Haven, CT..
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Revival Church (450 W Todd St, Hamden, CT 06518). The military honors will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Connecticut State Veterans Cemetery (317 Bow Ln, Middletown, CT 06457).
