With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Armida Funaro of Hamden, Connecticut, born in New Haven, Connecticut, who passed away on January 28, 2021 at the age of 86. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Armida Funaro to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her husband Richard F. Funaro; and her parents, Joseph Letize and Aida Bellucci Letize. She is survived by: her children, Patricia Mathews (Glen) of Hamden, Richard Funaro (Janet) of North Haven and Michael Funaro (Nancy) of Middletown; her sisters, JoAnn White of Wallingford, Margaret "Peggy" Limosani and Lorraine Palumbo (Louis) of Hamden; her grandchildren, Dana Perry of Haverhill, MA, Glen Mathews, Jr. (Justine) of Hamden, Taylor Mersereau (John) of Wethersfield, Ricky Funaro (Gina), Nicole A. Funaro of North Haven and Michael C. Funaro of Middletown; and her great grandchildren, Peyton Perry, Ava and Leo Mathews. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.

“So very sorry for your loss. I worked with Amy at Hamden High School. Those years were ones I shall never forget, or the ladies I worked with. We worked hard, and still were able to have a fun time. As with everything in life, people go on doing other things, and we lose touch. Memories of times gone by keep us going. Again, my sincere sympathy to her beautiful family. Anne Hunt”
