With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Ascj Ernestine Bongiovanni (Hamden, Connecticut), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. As Ascj departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Ascj. Though Ascj may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Peter Bongiovanni and Enez Bongiovanni (De Simone); and her aunt Ursula Bongiovanni. She was also cherished by her friends and former co-workers.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Manor Chapel (261 Benham St, Hamden, CT 06514). A Mass was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 at the All Saints Cemetery (700 Middletown Ave, North Haven, CT 06473).
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Sr. Ernestine Bongiovanni to the retirement fund of the Apostles of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, 295 Benham Street, Hamden, CT 06514.
