It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Brian M. Murphy of Hamden, Connecticut, who passed away on January 16, 2026, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick Murphy and Anne McCabe Murphy; his siblings, Patricia Murphy, Kevin Murphy and Terence Murphy; and his nephew Alan Kautz.
He is survived by: his wife Maureen Sullivan Murphy; his brothers, Dennis Murphy and Michael Murphy (Susan); his nieces, Rose Murphy of Asheville, NC and Megan Baine (Burton); his great-niece Ava of Windsor, CO; his nephew Adam Kautz; his niece Chloe Murphy-Symmes; his mother-in-law Eleanor Sullivan of Hamden, CT; his siblings-in-law, William Sullivan Jr. of Somerville, MA, Daniel Sullivan of Citrus Springs, FL and Eleanor Biondo (Anthony) of Wallingford, CT; his nephews, Shannon Sullivan (Marla) of Maitland, FL and Ryan Carone of Zancudo; and his pet Coco.
