With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cynthia M. Whitaker of Hamden, Connecticut, born in New Haven, Connecticut, who passed away on August 25, 2022 at the age of 78. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ida Belle Truehart and Forest Whitaker; and her siblings, Forest Whitaker, Jr. (Junior), Ruby Whitaker, Christina Augustine (Tina), Barbara Augustine and Sylvia Baines.
She is survived by: her children, Ida R. Cain, Enoch J. Cain, Sr. (Rochelle), Monique R. Cain (Aneeka), John J. Cain (Sheila), Robert L. Augustine, Jr. and Maria Augustine-Pierre (Garry). She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
