Daniel J. Lion Obituary

In the vast expanse of eternity, may Daniel J. find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may his legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Helene Dobrowski Lion; his daughter Kaitlin Pizzaro (Jose); his siblings, Richard Lion (Della), Judy Carbonella (Tony), Tommy Lion (Cindy), Angela Dickson, Maria DelVecchio and John Lion (Christine); and his sister-in-law Diane Orlando (Gary). He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Porto Funeral Home (234 Foxon Rd, East Haven, CT 06513). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Rita Church (1620 Whitney Ave, Hamden, CT 06517).
