He was predeceased by: his parents, James Salerno and Josephine DeFrancesco Salerno; and his sister Joan Laxar. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Barletta Salerno; his children, David Salerno Jr. (Lauren) of North Haven, Tracey Furman (Rich) of Hamden and Kyle Salerno of North Haven; his brother James Salerno of Waterbury; and his grandchildren, David Michael, Morgan, Giana and Nico.
