She was predeceased by: her husband James Peterson; her parents, Michael Vendetto and Alice Squires Vendetto; and her sisters, Joan DiMezza and Nicolina Gannon.
She is survived by: her children, James Peterson, Jr. (Norma), Michele "Shelley" Capp and Jennifer Peterson; her grandchildren, Thalia Oakes (Spencer) and Bryan Moran (Mary); her great grandchildren, Delilah and David James Oakes; and her brother Michael Vendetto (Susan). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home (36 Washington Ave, North Haven, CT 06473). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Vi Parish (2819 Whitney Ave, Hamden, CT 06518).
