It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fred Geier Jr. (Hamden, Connecticut), born in New Haven, Connecticut, who passed away on November 28, 2020, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his stepmother Helen Meagher Geier. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Gilmore Geier; his sons, Timothy Geier (Eileen) of Milford and Keith Geier of New Haven; his stepsister Joan Ermer (John) of East Haven; his grandsons, Dan, Sam and Ben; his cousin Craig Rutenberg; and his pet Ernie.

“it is with great sadness that I learned of Fred's passing. we have been friends since high school when he was at Cross and i was at Notre Dame. i had the pleasure to play baseball with him for several years with the Hamden Townies. I never heard him say a bad thing about anyone and he always a joke or two to keep all of us smiling. His service in the Fire Department allowed us the opportunity to work together when I was the Director of Parks & Recreation . He truly was a great person.”
