She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Elizabeth Chesson and Alphonso Bee Moore; her husband Melvyn Williams; and her siblings, Blanche Peterson, Annie Simpson-Parham, Alphonso and Theodore Moore.

She is survived by: her children, Melvyn Jr. of Connecticut, Toni Brown (Steve) of Florida, Philip Williams (Elaine) of Connecticut, Kathy Dockery Virginia (Chester Sr.), Annette Moore and Jeanette Johnson of Connecticut; her siblings, Dorothy Hood (Maryland), Ernest Simpson (Maryland), Wallace Simpson (Pennsylvania), Lawrence Simpson (Pennsylvania), Bobby Lee Simpson (Valerie), Andrew Lee Simpson (Connecticut) and Linda Simpson (Georgia); her close friend Olivia McClam; and her goddaughters, Keisha Moore and Maureen Blango. She is also survived by Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, Great-Great Grandchildren, along with a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins.

They sent a monthly monetary donation, in addition to providing Christmas gifts every year for every child.
