With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Helen D. De Roma of Hamden, Connecticut, born in Mount Vernon, New York, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Helen left this world on June 5, 2025 at the age of 92, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Timothy M. Dufficy, Sr. and Philomena Brudell Dufficy; her husband Joseph J. De Roma, Sr.; her son-in-law Bill Wickwire; and her siblings, Maureen Kammerer, Kathleen Schafer, Dorothy Finger, Patricia Peabody and Timothy Dufficy, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Jo-Ellen Wickwire of North Haven and Joseph De Roma, Jr. (Sandi) of Middlesex; her grandson Shane Weymer (Bryana); her great grandchildren, Shane, Jr., Averi Lee and Jackson Weymer of La Grange; and her sister-in-law Carole Dufficy of Mendon. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Sisk Brothers Funeral Home (3105 Whitney Ave, Hamden, CT 06518). A procession will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Rita Church (1620 Whitney Ave, Hamden, CT 06517).
