We announce the death of James C. Hutton (Hamden, Connecticut), who passed away on July 14, 2026, at the age of 85. James will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. James’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles A. Hutton and Maxine Fowler Hutton; and his sister Barbara Alexander. He is survived by: his wife Ann Hawkins Hutton of Hamden; his daughters, Victoria Hutton Wilson of Bridgeport and Amanda Hutton of Glastonbury; his grandchildren, Julia Wilson, Colin Wilson of New York, NY, Danielle Forte of Wethersfield and Andrew Forte of Albuquerque, NM; and his sister Joan Hutton-Seward of Greenville, SC. He is also survived by seven nieces and nephews.
