He was predeceased by: his parents, William Joseph Riley and MaryAnn Powers; his son Michael; and his wife Marguerite Connelly. He is survived by: his children, John Francis Riley Jr. (Pam), Mary Beth Riley Reynolds (Kenney) and Eileen Riley Simon (Steven); his grandchildren, Lauren Romanoff Brown (Tyler), Daniel Romanoff (Leah), Tess, Olivia, Hope Riley, Michael, Jack and Patrick Simon; and his brother-in-law Robert Connelly. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Sisk Brothers Funeral Home (3105 Whitney Ave, Hamden, CT 06518). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church (2819 Whitney Ave, Hamden, CT 06518). A burial will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the All Saints Cemetery (700 Middletown Ave, North Haven, CT 06473).
