He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick Monahan and Alice McGovern Monahan; his sister Alice Monahan Roach; and his siblings-in-law, Rachel Bacchiocchi and Jack Franco.
He is survived by: his wife Lucille Monahan; his children, Patrick J. Monahan II, Ann Diana and Kathy Monahan; his grandchildren, Katie Monahan, Gregory Monahan, Jack Diana and Megan Diana; his great grandchild Luca Levi Monahan; his sister Mary Monahan Miller; his brothers-in-law, Jack Roach and Ed Bacchiocchi; his grandson Gianni; and also, Dr. Rich Diana and John Baglivo.
