He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Waters and Celle Graham Waters; his wife Caldonia Graham-Waters; and his son David Waters Sr.. He is survived by: his children, Ronald Waters (Myra Benton-Waters) of Hamden, CT. and Tonia Waters of New Haven, CT; and his grandchildren, Lashonda Boston of New Haven, Ashley Alexander of New Haven, Tiana Waters of New Haven, Dorothy of New Haven, Cornelius Gray of New Haven, Caldonia Penn of New Haven, Markis of New Haven, David Jr. of New Haven, Davina of New Haven and Djuane Waters of New Haven. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the McClam Funeral Home Chapel (95 Dixwell Ave, New Haven, CT 06511). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
