He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph J. McVetty, and Catherine Daly McVetty, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Telford McVetty; his children, Joseph J. McVetty, III (Ellen Lesperance) of Eugene, OR and Shaune Kathleen McVetty of New Haven; his stepchildren, Leah Pandiscia of Philadelphia and Lauren Pandiscia (Drew Pannone) of Bethany; his sisters, Kathleen, Sharon and Margaret Ann McVetty (OP) of New York; Maureen Ryan McVetty of North Haven.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Sisk Brothers Funeral Home (3105 Whitney Ave, Hamden, CT 06518). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Josephs Church (129 Edwards St, New Haven, CT 06511).
