She is survived by: her children, Kelley (Chris), Meghan and Greg (Kathryn); her grandchildren, Kaiden, Kameron, Olivia, Lexie and Claire; and her siblings, Larry Valintas (Sarah), Billy Valintas (Eileen) and Mary-Nelle Burgh (David). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Karen's memory to Breakthrough T1D to support research toward a cure for Type 1 diabetes.
