He was predeceased by: his parents, Mariano Echevarria García and Antonia Maria Pérez; his stepfather Jaime Maldonado; his siblings, Enery, Luz Aida, Ines Maldonado, Luís and Amador Rodríguez; and his grandson Carlos Antonio González.
He is survived by: his wife Ana García Pérez; his children, Igdalia Lynn Pérez of New Haven, Yvette Antonia Pérez (Mike López) of Hamden, Mariano Pérez (Lisette) of New Haven and David (Jennyfer Ríos) of Hamden; and his siblings, Gudelia, Genoveva Maldonado of Adjuntas, Camelia Rodríguez of New Haven, Magaly Rodríguez Reyes (José Reyes) of Adjuntas, Jerry Rodríguez of Clearwater, FL and Jaime Maldonado of Adjuntas. He is also survived by twenty grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
