He was predeceased by: his parents, Doris Jackson Moales and Matthew Moales, Sr.; his former wife Betty Cummings; his stepmother Freddie Moales; his brothers, Bishop Kenneth Moales, Sr. (Peggy) and William Moales; and his stepson Terrance Lamont Davis.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Myers Moales; his children, Stephanie Moales, Matthew Moales and Cynthia Moales Saunders; and his siblings, Mary Williams, Robert Moales (Yvonne) of Atlanta, Hamilton Moales and Timothy Moales. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren.
