Mildred (Mitzi) Bargar Obituary
We announce the death of Mildred (Mitzi) Bargar of Hamden, Connecticut, who passed away on July 1, 2026, at the age of 99. Mildred will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Meyer Fenster and Ada Sanders Fenster; her sister Harriet Lorenz; and her husband Marvin Bargar. She is survived by: her children, Alan (Karen), Arthur (Lynn) and Deborah Carter (Stephen); her grandchildren, Matthew (Naomi), Molly (Ever), Elizabeth (Raed), Brett, Tyler, Caitlin (Donald), Emily (Bryan) and Nicole (Stephen); and her great grandchildren, Sylvia, Isaac, Rowan, Lochlann, August, Vivian, April and Mila Jade.
Donations in Mitzi's memory may be made to the Hamden Temple Beth Sholom Rabbi's Discretionary Fund or to the Jewish Historical Society of Greater New Haven.
