He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Bauer and Vera Meany Bauer; and his siblings-in-law, John "Jack" Ambrogio and Maureen Ambrogio. He is survived by: his wife Denise O'Connor Bauer; his children, Nicholas Bauer, Jr. (Heidi), Eric Bauer (Pam), Amy Delfini (Ron) and Jennifer Bauer (Mark Tolla); his grandchildren, Meghan, Amanda, Jessica, Hayley, Alex, Kyle, Mitchell and Cassie; his great grandchildren, Collin, Ronan and Eloise; and his sister Carol Caro. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home (2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden, CT 06518). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church (2819 Whitney Ave, Hamden, CT 06518).
