He was predeceased by: his grandfather George Bednarcik. He is survived by: his parents, Kenneth Maratea and Ellen Bednarcik Maratea of Hamden; his sister Melanie Maratea of Boca Raton, FL; his grandparents, Kathleen Bednarcik of Hamden, Geraldine Tommaselli of North Haven and Robert Maratea (Gail) of North Haven; his uncles, John Bednarcik (Wendy), Robert Maratea Jr. (Patti) and Michael Maratea (Cheryl); his aunt Karen Hunt (Jerry); and his cousins, Shannon Hunt, Patrick Hunt, Liam Hunt, Stephen Maratea, Erin Landisio, Jessica Santore, Michael Maratea Jr. and Bryan Maratea.
