He was predeceased by: his parents, Giovanni Lavorgna and Maria Lavorgna (DiCerbo); and his brother Antonio Lavorgna. He is survived by: his wife Concetta Lavorgna (Sagnella); his children, Maria DeLucia (Christopher) of North Haven, Giovanni "John" Lavorgna (Karen) of Hamden and Antonio "Tony" Lavorgna (Janie) of Sarasota, FL; his siblings, Concetta Caserta (Alberto) of North Haven, Aldo Lavorgna (Concetta) of Massa, Faicchio and Egidio Lavorgna (Palma) of Hamden; his sister-in-law Grazzina Lavorgna (Faicchio) of Massa; his grandchildren, Michael Lavorgna (Devan), Melissa Gleason (Kevin), Amanda Hoeflich (Evan), Jordan DeLucia (Jessica), Annamarie DeLucia and Ted Wolff (Diana); and his great grandchildren, Griffin Hoeflich, Madison Gleason and Sienna Wolff.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home (4 Washington Ave, North Haven, CT 06473). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Blessed Sacrament Church (St. Paul Vi Parish) (321 Circular Ave, Hamden, CT 06514). A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at the Beaverdale Memorial Park (90 Pine Rock Ave, New Haven, CT 06514).
