He was predeceased by : his parents, Rudolph Canelli (Rudy) and Frances Canelli. He is survived by : his wife Connie A. Rogers; his daughters, Dana (Kurt) of Pittsburgh, PA, Jennifer (Jeremy) of Irvine, CA and Alison (Kevin) of Boston, MA; and his grandson Nathan of Pittsburgh.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 8th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Beecher & Bennett Funeral Service - Hamden (2300 Whitney Ave, Hamden, CT 06518). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Spring Glen Church (1825 Whitney Ave, Hamden, CT 06517).

Memorial contributions may be made to the Roberto Clemente Foundation or the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater New Haven.
