He was predeceased by: his father Jessie Matthews; and his sister Lavern Matthews. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Blue; his siblings, Billy Matthews, Randolph Matthews and Charlene Mims; his mother Rose Lee Reeves; and his nephews, Billy Jr. and Lamont Matthews. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Colonial Funerals (86 Circular Ave, Hamden, CT 06514). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
